RoomieGenius helps event organizers collect roommate preferences and build rooming charts. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

When you sign in with Google we receive your name and email address. When you create an event we store the event details, the roster of names you add, and the preference submissions people send through the shared form.

How we use it

Your information is used only to operate RoomieGenius — to show you your events, run the optimizer, and let collaborators submit preferences. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Sharing

Roster names and submissions are visible to the event’s owner. We do not share your information with third parties except as needed to run the service (for example, our hosting provider) or where required by law.

Retention & deletion

Event data is kept until the event’s owner deletes it. Deleting an event permanently removes the event, its roster, and every submission — this cannot be undone.
